• How it works

    #1 - Consultation

Interested in services? I offer free initial consultations for potential clients by phone or an in-home consultation for a small fee. We can discuss the needs of your child, I can answer any questions you may have, and together we will determine if private therapy is right for you!

    #2 - Initial Paperwork/Evaluation (when applicable)

If we decide in the consultation to move ahead with treatment, we will have an initial session to complete the paperwork necessary to get started. If your child has never received speech therapy before, they will need a comprehensive assessment of all areas of concern. (Please see my pricing page for pricing information). If they have already received an evaluation elsewhere, please bring a copy of all available paperwork to this meeting.

#3 - Individual Treatment Plan and Goals

After discussing the needs of your child and completing an evaluation, I will create a report summarizing their current levels of functioning and outlining potential goals of treatment. We will then discuss these goals and make any necessary adjustments to ensure we have a treatment plan we all agree on.

If your child already has a treatment plan from another provider, we can use that documentation if you choose.

    #4 - Private Treatment Sessions

I typically offer 30 or 60 minute treatment sessions one to two times a week, depending on the needs and attention span of each client.

    #5 - Progress Monitoring

I will be constantly tracking and monitoring your child's progress to make sure my therapy is effective and make any necessary adjustments. This information will be available to you at any time.

    Family Involvement

I welcome parental observation and involvement when appropriate. This allows you to learn how to foster your child's speech and language skills between sessions and help them improve even more quickly.
